Winter Emergency Parking Ban

The Town of Camden Winter Emergency Parking Ban will be in effect anytime snowfall exceeds one inch in accumulation. All vehicles parked on any street within Camden corporate limits including those within residential developments must be removed in order to comply with this amendment to our parking regulations.  Streets designated as private and not maintained by the Town of Camden are excluded from this ban.  Vehicles in violation will be towed at the owner’s expense. The Winter Emergency Parking Ban is enacted in order to provide for the safety and welfare of the Town’s citizenry during the need to plow and remove snow. Parking Ordinance #62 Amendment

Water Quality Issues Reported on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 Dear Camden-Wyoming Sewer & Water customer, Date: TUESDAY, September 4, 2018 Time Period: Beginning approximately 10:00 am This morning the CWSWA was informed that a flow test was completed on the fire suppression system at the Grotto Pizza located on Rt 13, Camden DE. This type of flow testing may contribute to discoloration of water this morning. We do apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused. When we are informed in advance of this type of testing taking place, we can notify the public ahead of time and prepare the system to try and minimize instances of brown water. You may experience brown water into the evening from this testing taking place. Please note that we continue to monitor our water system. 2018 Comprehensive Plan Update

A comprehensive plan is a document and a series of maps that: • Outlines development goals and objectives, • Maps the desired locations for homes, shops, and offices in town and the areas that Camden might want to annex into the town, and • Serves as the basis for zoning and subdivision laws. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts about the Town of Camden. Senior Tax Discount Eligibility

In order to qualify for the senior tax discount, Camden residents must comply with all the following: You must be a Camden Homeowner for at least one (1) year immediately preceding October of the pretax year. You must be sixty-two (62) years of age. Your annual income (wages) cannot exceed $15,000.00 if single and $30,000.00 if joint account.  (The wage threshold excludes social security, railroad pension, military pension, or any other pensions received from previous employment). You must attach a copy of your most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the Town of Camden application for the senior tax discount. The deadline for form submittal is May 31st to be eligible for the coming year’s senior tax discount.
